About FIDO

About Fiduciary Organization

FIDO is a national fee-only fiduciary organization created to help clients find advisor firms they can trust and help independent advisors run client-first practices.

Why FIDO exists

Independent advice should be easier to find and easier to deliver.

Fiduciary Organization was created from a straightforward idea on the current site: there are not enough true fiduciaries in practice today. FIDO gives independent advisors a home that makes fiduciary advice simpler to operate, and it gives clients a clearer way to identify fee-only advisor firms aligned with a client-first standard.

For advisors, that means support for the back office, technology, operations, custody decisions, compliance, and practice growth. For clients, it means a national organization focused on fiduciary duty, transparent fees, and independent financial planning.

Fee-only fiduciary advice

What the standard means

Fee-only fiduciary advice is designed to put the client relationship first. Fiduciary advisors are expected to act in a client's best interest. Fee-only advisors are paid by clients, not by commissions from financial product sales.

Fiduciary duty

The advisor's obligation is to put the client's best interest ahead of competing incentives.

Fee-only compensation

The advisor is compensated by client fees rather than product commissions.

Independence

Independent firms can focus on planning, investment guidance, and service without product-driven pressure.
